Leah Downey

Set & Costume Design

About

01 about

Leah Downey is a Melbourne-based Set and Costume Designer working across theatre and live performance.

Her practice combines design with hands-on making. Alongside designing productions, she builds and realises elements of the work through scenic painting, set construction, and props and costume making.

Her work explores bold visual worlds that shape the atmosphere of a production and bring the stage to life. She holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Theatre Design from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
